University of Georgia
Women in Accounting is a professional and social organization dedicated to supporting undergraduate students interested in the accounting profession. While we provide early exposure and guidance for freshmen and sophomores, we also foster an inclusive community where upperclassmen can serve as mentors, leaders, and role models.
Our mission is to cultivate a strong network of women in accounting through structured opportunities for development, meaningful discussions on industry topics, and impactful events such as guest speaker panels, workshops, study groups, social gatherings, and networking sessions.
WIA hosts general body meetings every other Tuesday from 6:30–7:30 PM unless otherwise noted.
Meetings are typically held in Terry College of Business and feature guest speakers, professional panels, and workshops.
The dress code for these events is business casual.
WIA hosts a variety of social events throughout the semester to help members connect and build meaningful relationships together.
The dates, locations, and activities of these events vary.
